GMC Cracks Down on Illegal Hoardings Ahead of Assam Polls

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has launched a city-wide drive against unauthorised hoardings, banners, and unipoles ahead of the Assembly elections.

The action, aligned with the Model Code of Conduct, targets both political and commercial advertisements installed without permission.

GMC has warned of strict action against violators and said the drive will continue to ensure compliance and maintain civic order.
