GMC Fines Resident for Illegal Dumping on Public Road

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) fined a resident of MT Road Rs 5,000 for dumping construction debris on a public road, obstructing movement and creating safety hazards.

Despite awareness campaigns and strict enforcement, illegal waste dumping remains a problem. GMC officials have warned of strict action against violators and urged residents to follow waste disposal rules to keep the city clean.
