GMC to Organise Bhogali Melas in Guwahati Ahead of Magh Bihu

Ahead of Magh Bihu, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation will organise three Bhogali Melas in the city from January 10 to 12. The fairs will be held at Ganeshpara Field, Dispur Supermarket (GMC Office Field), and Motghoria Field.

The melas aim to promote local food culture and provide a sales platform for self-help groups to sell traditional Bhogali items, including various jolpan. The initiative is expected to draw large crowds ahead of the Bhogali Bihu celebrations on January 14 and 15.
