GMC Urges Guwahati Property Owners to Clear Taxes by March 31

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation has asked property owners in Guwahati to clear their pending property taxes by March 31, 2026.

Officials said those who fail to pay within the deadline will face a 20% penalty on the outstanding amount. Continued non-payment may also lead to legal action, including property attachment under the Guwahati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971.

The civic body stated that timely tax payment is necessary to support civic services and infrastructure development in the city.
