GMCH Expels Three Students Over Ragging and Misconduct Allegations

Authorities at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) expelled three students for violating disciplinary rules, including ragging and misconduct allegations.

Two students were punished for ragging and mentally harassing junior students, receiving suspensions of six months and three months respectively.

In a separate case, a final-year student was expelled for six months after allegedly harassing a female classmate. Following repeated complaints, an FIR was filed at All Women Police Station Pan Bazar, where a case has been registered against him.
