GMCH Files FIR Against Two Professional Blood Donors

Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) has filed an FIR against two individuals, Tilak Borah and Lal Bahadur Shikh, for involvement in professional blood donations. The incident suggests the presence of a blood broker network within the hospital.

Borah, diagnosed as HIV positive, admitted to donating blood previously for Rs. 2,000, unaware of his condition. Shikh, another donor, also acknowledged receiving payment for his blood donations. The hospital is investigating the matter, and the police are involved.
