Gold Chains Worth ₹12 Lakh Snatched Outside DC Office in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, Assam: Two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly snatched two gold chains worth around ₹12 lakh from a visitor outside the District Commissioner’s office in broad daylight on Monday, raising concerns over security at the high-security government complex.

The victim, Hrishikesh Goswami of Lahowal, said the assailants pushed him to the ground before fleeing with the jewellery. An FIR has been lodged at the Milan Nagar Police Outpost, and police have launched an investigation while examining CCTV footage.
