Gurugram Firm Bags ₹116-Crore NH-37 Reconstruction Project in Assam

Gurugram-based J Infratech Ltd has received a ₹116-crore contract from NHIDCL to reconstruct 20.44 km of the Jhanji–Demow stretch of NH-37 in Assam. The company has received the Letter of Acceptance and aims to complete the project in four months while meeting strict engineering and safety norms. The stretch is crucial for Upper Assam’s connectivity and economic activity. The project follows repeated delays by previous contractors, including the termination of a Spanish firm due to extremely slow progress, causing concern among local residents.
