Guwahati Crime Branch Arrests UCO Bank Manager in Land Scam

The Guwahati crime branch arrested Prasenjit Roy, manager of UCO Bank’s Silpukhuri branch, on Friday night for a land scam. Roy fraudulently transferred land owned by Prabha Bhattacharya, an elderly woman, into his name. Bhattacharya had used her land documents as collateral for a bank loan. The investigation remains open, with potential involvement of additional officials.
