Guwahati E-Rickshaw Drivers to Shift from Ola, Uber to Peindia

Electric auto-rickshaw drivers in Guwahati will stop operating through Ola and Uber from October 10, 2026, and switch exclusively to Peindia, according to the All Guwahati Auto Drivers’ Unity Forum. The forum said the decision followed an agreement on revised fares, increased passenger capacity and a ₹30 cancellation charge.

The revised fare structure includes ₹40 for the first 3 km and ₹16 per additional kilometre beyond 10 km. The platform has also reportedly committed to providing accidental death insurance and immediate medical assistance to drivers injured in vehicle-related mishaps.
