Guwahati Man Arrested for Attempted Murder of Woman

Guwahati police arrested Rajesh for allegedly attempting to stab and murder a married woman near Dispur police station. The victim, reportedly in a past relationship with Rajesh, claimed he had threatened her with a machete earlier and confessed his intent to kill.

This arrest follows the December 26 stabbing death of Mousumi Gogoi by a man reportedly enraged by rejection.
