Guwahati Municipal Corporation Cracks Down on Illegal Trade Practices

The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has intensified its efforts to curb illegal trade practices, supported by the Special Task Force (STF). The GMC is urging shop owners to obtain or renew trade licenses promptly, warning of penalties for non-compliance. Recently, two stores in Ganeshguri were fined a total of Rs. 1.75 lakh for violating trade license norms. The GMC aims to ensure a regulated market environment by enforcing strict rules and penalizing offenders.
