Guwahati Municipal Corporation’s VBSY was held in two locations

Under the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) was held in two locations: Janajati Field in Japorigog and Rupjyoti Milan Sangha in Rukminigaon.

The Vice Chairman of the GMDA and the local GMC council members were present at the event, which was graced by the Guwahati Mayor as the Chief Guest. Over two thousand people showed up for the events. The Government of India’s IEC van, which was assigned to both sites, screened short films that highlighted government welfare programmes like PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Svanidhi, etc. During the event, athletes such as karate player Junmoni Das, medalists from Khelo India and University Games, state award winner Bikram Boro, Adventure Sports, and Pune Marathon participant Awdesh Singh were also honoured.
