Guwahati-North Guwahati Bridge’s Elevated South Bank Corridor Inaugurated by CM Himanta Biswa Sarma to Alleviate Traffic Congestion
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated the elevated south bank corridor of the Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge, connecting Bhootnath to Machkhowa. The newly opened corridor is anticipated to significantly reduce traffic congestion, particularly at the Bharalumukh junction. The Chief Minister highlighted that commuters will also enjoy a picturesque view of the Brahmaputra River while traveling on this corridor. This development is part of the ongoing Vikas Yatra in the state, emphasizing the government’s commitment to infrastructure improvements for enhanced connectivity and traffic management in Guwahati.
We will extend an invitation to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to dedicate the 9km long Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge, once completed in December 2024.
