Guwahati Traffic Police Tighten Rules for City Bus Operations

Guwahati: The Guwahati Traffic Police have announced stricter enforcement of traffic and route regulations for city buses following a series of recent accidents.

Police warned that drivers, conductors and route management authorities will face strict action for route violations, unsafe driving or traffic rule breaches. Traffic personnel have also been authorised to seize the licences of offending drivers and forward them to transport authorities for further action.
