Hajo Police Arrest Alleged Mastermind of Interstate Cattle Theft Syndicate

In a major breakthrough, Hajo Police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind a cattle theft syndicate operating across several parts of Assam. The arrest follows a recent operation in which police recovered stolen milch cows and seized vehicles used for transporting the livestock.

Police said the gang was involved in organised cattle theft and criminal intimidation, posing a serious threat to dairy farmers and the rural economy. Investigators are now questioning the accused to identify accomplices, trace buyers of the stolen cattle, and dismantle the entire network.
