Health Department Intensifies Measures Against Japanese Encephalitis in Sivasagar

Sivasagar: The Sivasagar District Health Department has stepped up preventive measures against Japanese Encephalitis, with officials confirming that no cases of the disease have been reported in the district so far this year.

Health authorities have been conducting insecticide spraying, awareness campaigns, and blood testing drives across all 15 health blocks since February. Officials credited ASHA and health workers for their awareness efforts.

Residents have been advised to seek medical attention and undergo blood tests if they develop fever or related symptoms. The department continues to closely monitor the situation and remains prepared to tackle any potential outbreak.
