Himachal CM Sukhu Alleges Misuse of Resources by Assam Govt

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Sunday accused the BJP-led Assam government of misusing state resources and engaging in scams, claiming it has failed to deliver over the past decade.

He criticized a ₹63,000 crore thermal power deal with Adani Power, arguing that Assam does not require such large capacity and that cheaper solar alternatives were ignored. Sukhu alleged the agreement could burden the state financially with unused power and fixed payments.

Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party, he also accused it of divisive politics and questioned its record on jobs and economic growth.

Backing the Indian National Congress, Sukhu said the party would probe alleged scams and take action if voted to power in the April 9 Assam Assembly elections.
