Himanta Biswa Sarma Plans Mass Holi Song Event in Assam Next Year

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said the government plans to organise a mass Holi song performance next year to create another cultural milestone in the state. He shared the idea during his visit to Barpeta Satra on the occasion of Holi.
Sarma said he had planned the event this year but postponed it due to the election schedule. He also offered prayers at the Satra and wished for the well-being of the people of Assam.
On political developments, he said alliance talks with Asom Gana Parishad are in the final stage and may be concluded within two to three days. He added that the BJP has already allied with Rabha Joutha Sangram Samiti and is likely to finalise an alliance with the Bodoland People’s Front soon.
