Houthis Use Epstein Files in Campaign Against Saudi Arabia

The Houthi group in Yemen is reportedly using documents linked to American financier Jeffrey Epstein to criticise Saudi Arabia. According to The New York Times, the group has highlighted reports that associates of the Saudi royal court sent Epstein tapestries featuring coverings of the Kaaba, Islam’s holiest site, as part of its media campaign against Riyadh.

The Houthis have amplified the allegations through speeches, videos, songs and social media influencers, portraying themselves as defenders of Islam against foreign influence. Saudi Arabia has not publicly responded to the allegations, while the Houthis have denied Saudi claims that they targeted Mecca with drones and missiles.
