IIT Guwahati Develops Advanced Cholesterol and Triglyceride Detection Method
IIT Guwahati researchers, led by Prof. Dipankar Bandyopadhyay, have created a nanotechnology-based method for precise cholesterol and triglyceride detection using Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS). The innovation uses bimetallic nanostructures, significantly enhancing diagnostic sensitivity for real-time monitoring. This approach aims to develop point-of-care devices, potentially mitigating cardiovascular diseases early. The findings were published in Biosensors and Bioelectronics.
