IIT Guwahati Hosts Mega Science and Maths Olympiad in Collaboration with Samagra Shiksha Assam
Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, in partnership with Samagra Shiksha Assam, organized a significant Science and Maths Olympiad, drawing participation from over 1.14 lakh students across 3,828 schools in Assam. The event aimed to cultivate scientific curiosity and mathematical proficiency among students, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills in STEM subjects. Through rigorous competitions, the Olympiad nurtured talent and provided a competitive platform for students. IIT Guwahati officials emphasized their commitment to enhancing STEM education in the region. The final round witnessed 62 finalists, with Chandan Kaushik Saikia from Namdeuri HS, Jorhat emerging as the 1st prize winner.
