IMD Issues Multi-Hazard Weather Alert for Assam and Northeast

The IMD has issued an orange alert for Assam and a multi-hazard warning for the Northeast, forecasting thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds from May 4 to May 8. Assam and Meghalaya may witness winds up to 60 kmph, while Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are also likely to face thunderstorms and rainfall at isolated places throughout the week.
