Indian Badminton Celebrates Record-Breaking Year and Plans for Future Growth

At the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Badminton Association of India (BAI), held on Sunday, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma celebrated the outstanding achievements of Indian badminton players in 2023. With over 233 medals won, the year marked an exceptional milestone for the sport in India.

In a tweet, Sarma shared, “At the 2024 AGM of @BAI_Media, we celebrated the success of our players and resolved to expand our badminton infrastructure. With over 233 medals, 2023 was exceptional for Indian badminton. We are proud of our players, coaches, their families, and support staff.”

The AGM focused not only on celebrating the past year’s achievements but also on planning for the future. BAI aims to enhance badminton infrastructure across the country, providing better facilities and support for players. The success of 2023 was attributed to the hard work of the players, dedication of coaches, and unwavering support from their families and staff.
