Indian Railways to Roll Out Kavach 4.0 for Enhanced Safety

Indian Railways is set to deploy Kavach 4.0, an advanced automatic train protection system, on key routes. The system aims to prevent accidents and enhance operational safety by reducing human errors.

Kavach 4.0 will be installed in locomotives using earlier versions and implemented on the Northeast Frontier Railway route, covering 1966 RKM from Malda Town (West Bengal) to Dibrugarh (Assam).

Key features include Station Kavach for locomotive guidance and RFID tags for real-time tracking. The initiative reflects Indian Railways’ commitment to modernizing infrastructure and ensuring passenger safety.
