India’s First Decaffeinated Black Tea Launched by CSIR-NEIST

CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, has developed India’s first indigenous decaffeinated black tea, launched by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh during CSIR’s 84th Foundation Day in Delhi. The innovation aims to meet rising demand for caffeine-free tea, offering health benefits without altering natural polyphenols. The technology was also transferred to two parties at the event.
