INROAD Project Boosts Rubber Plantations in Northeast India

The INROAD project, funded by Apollo, Ceat, JK, and MRF, has developed 1,25,272 hectares of rubber plantations in Northeast India and West Bengal. Assam achieved 37,000 hectares of its 43,000-hectare target.
With ₹1,100 crore invested, the initiative aims to double the region’s rubber production from 1.2 lakh metric tonnes within a decade. The project plans to increase the Northeast’s share of India’s rubber plantations from 23% to 38%.
