ISIS Leaders Arrested in Dharmasala: Boost for Counter-Terrorism Efforts

In a significant development in the fight against terrorism, authorities have apprehended two high-ranking ISIS leaders, Harish Farooqui alias Harish Ajmal Farooqui and Anurag Singh alias Rehan, in the Dharmasala area of Dhubri. The Special Task Force (STF) conducted a coordinated operation leading to their capture. Harish Farooqui, believed to head the ISIS India unit, and Anurag Singh, his accomplice, are implicated in numerous pending cases related to terrorist activities across the country. Anurag Singh’s marital connection to Bangladesh raises concerns about potential cross-border collaboration. Both individuals have been handed over to the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for further interrogation and legal proceedings.
