Jagiroad Police Seize 35 Cattle, One Arrested on NH-27

Jagiroad police arrested a man and rescued 35 cattle heads illegally transported on NH-27 at Palahguri in Morigaon district on Thursday morning. The accused, identified as Jainuddin of Rupahi in Nagaon district, was transporting the cattle to Meghalaya in violation of the Livestock Transport Act.

The seized cattle were handed over to Jyoti Go-sala in Nagaon. Earlier, police had rescued nine cattle and arrested one person in a similar operation on December 13.
