Journalist Attacked While Covering Panchayat Polls in Assam’s Dhemaji

Journalist Madhurjya Saikia was injured in an alleged mob attack in Dimow Pathar, Dhemaji, while reporting on panchayat elections. He accused local outfit leaders in a police complaint. A case has been filed at Silapathar police station. TMPK denied involvement. CM Himanta Biswa Sarma condemned the attack and stressed the need for unity among journalists.
