Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and submitted a memorandum highlighting developmental challenges and autonomy issues. He urged for direct Finance Commission funds to villages under KAAC, citing setbacks in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. Ronghang also pressed for implementation of Article 244(A) to address long-pending autonomy demands, calling for a tripartite discussion between KAAC, Assam government, and the Centre to find a permanent solution.
