KSDC Stages Protest in Kokrajhar Demanding Kamatapur State, ST Status

The Kamatapur State Demand Council (KSDC) held a massive rally in Kokrajhar demanding a separate Kamatapur state and ST status for the Koch-Rajbongshi community. Protesters submitted a memorandum to the Centre and warned of intensified agitation if demands are ignored. KSDC leaders urged a tripartite meeting with the government and KLO, cautioning BJP of electoral consequences ahead of the 2026 Assam polls.
