Kuki-Zo Groups Demand Separate Union Territory at Jantar Mantar Protest

Members of the Kuki Students’ Organization and Kuki-Zo Women’s Forum staged a protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding a separate Union Territory for Kuki areas in Manipur. They blamed former CM Biren Singh for the state’s crisis and called his resignation a “smokescreen.” Protesters highlighted historical injustices and urged the central government to draft a roadmap for a distinct administration. They appealed to PM Modi to fulfill their demand under Articles 239A and 3 of the Constitution.
