KVK Dima Hasao Conducts Training on Scientific Pig and Poultry Rearing

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Dima Hasao, organised a two-day training programme on scientific pig and poultry rearing on January 20–21 to promote sustainable livelihoods in tribal areas. The programme focused on scientific housing, balanced feeding, disease prevention, biosecurity, and enterprise development.

Officials from the Veterinary Department, ASRLM, and NABARD highlighted livestock-based livelihood opportunities, financial support schemes, and the need for coordinated efforts. Technical sessions included practical demonstrations, preventive health care, and digital advisory tools to enhance productivity and income among tribal farmers and rural youth.
