Landslides Disrupt Lumding-Badarpur Rail Route, SLRC Reschedules Interviews

Rail services on Assam’s Lumding-Badarpur hill section were suspended Monday due to landslides between New Haflong and Jatinga Lampur. The disruption, caused by improper NHAI roadwork, has led to widespread train cancellations and delays affecting Barak Valley and neighboring states. The State Level Recruitment Commission has postponed Class-IV interviews for Dima Hasao and Barak Valley candidates. Revised dates will be announced soon. Restoration efforts are ongoing.
