LGBI Airport Boosts Drainage Ahead of Monsoon

LGBI Airport has begun drain cleaning and building new drainage systems to prevent monsoon waterlogging. In collaboration with Assam’s Water Resources Department, efforts include clearing the Kalmoni river and constructing a 7.5-km drainage channel to divert water safely. Officials say the measures aim to ensure smooth airport operations during heavy rains.
