LoP Demands Action Against Biswanath DC for Misconduct

Leader of Opposition Debabrata Saikia has urged Assam’s Chief Secretary to take disciplinary action against the Biswanath DC for alleged misconduct. The officer reportedly abused a Gorkha citizen, issued bulldozer threats, and made communal remarks. Saikia called the actions a violation of service rules and a threat to communal harmony. He demanded the DC’s suspension, an inquiry, and a public clarification from the state.
