Main Accused in Nalbari Robbery-Murder Arrested After Three Months

The key accused in the Nalbari robbery-murder case, Kalpajyoti Deka, has been arrested after evading police for nearly three months. With his arrest, all suspects are now in custody.

Earlier, police had arrested four others, including a woman, in connection with the August 29 incident where retired employee Promod Barman was robbed and murdered. Investigators used CID support, fingerprint analysis, dog squad assistance, and technical tracking to crack the case.

The victim’s son expressed relief, saying his father would rest in peace now that all accused have been caught.
