Major Eviction Drive in Goalpara Leaves Families Homeless, Sparks Outcry

Goalpara district administration launched a major eviction at Hasila Beel on Monday, demolishing homes with 20 bulldozers. Around 30% of the area was cleared by midday. Officials claim the land was illegally encroached and notices were issued earlier. Over 600 families and five schools were affected.
