Mamata Banerjee Alleges BJP Brought Outsiders for Assam Polls

Mamata Banerjee accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of bringing people from Uttar Pradesh to influence the Assam Assembly Elections 2026, claiming the party lacked confidence in local support.

She also alleged misuse of central agencies and raised concerns over voter roll deletions in West Bengal.

Referring to the National Register of Citizens, Banerjee criticised the BJP, alleging irregularities. The Assam polls recorded a turnout of 85.91%.
