Man Abducted and Murdered in Assam’s Dima Hasao District

A man, identified as Kaniya Terang, was abducted and murdered in Assam’s Langmeklu village, Dima Hasao district. His body was found hanging from a tree in a forest on December 22, staged to appear as a suicide.

Initial reports indicate signs of torture on the victim’s body. Police launched an investigation following a family complaint, and the body was sent for an autopsy at Haflong Hospital. The family has demanded justice and strict action against the culprits.
