Man Arrested for Threatening Assam CM via WhatsApp

A 29-year-old man, Krishna Dornal from Arunachal Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly sending death threats to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Police said he first emailed the CM demanding money and later sent a WhatsApp threat after receiving no response. During interrogation, he admitted to misappropriating funds from his workplace and acting to divert attention.

He has been handed over to Assam Police for further investigation.
