Man Dies After Falling from Fifth Floor of NMCH

Nalbari: A 28-year-old man, Jatindra Kalita of Balishar, died after allegedly falling from the fifth floor of Nalbari Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) on Friday.

Hospital authorities said Kalita had been admitted for treatment and was later referred to the psychiatry department due to signs of severe mental distress. He reportedly fell from the fifth floor while being taken for evaluation. He was rushed to the ICU but was declared dead. Police have launched an investigation and the post-mortem report is awaited.
