Man Found Dead After Allegedly Killing Son in Gohpur

Mriganka Saikia, accused of strangling his 7-year-old son in Gohpur, Assam, was found hanging on Friday morning. Saikia allegedly smothered the boy with a blanket while he slept on Thursday evening in Solengi Guri village. After the crime, he fled the scene on a scooter. His body was discovered hanging in a house in Borigaon. Police suspect suicide, and the motive for the crime remains unclear.
