Man Held with Fake Currency Worth Rs 2.45 Lakh Near Guwahati ISBT

Police arrested a man near the ISBT area in Guwahati on Sunday for possessing Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth Rs 2.45 lakh. The accused, identified as Geyon Tayeng from Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district, was caught during a naka checking operation conducted under the supervision of ACP Azara.

Police suspect his involvement in a larger counterfeit currency racket. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
