Mass Protest in Palasbari Against Barduar Bagan Satellite Township Project

A massive citizens’ convention was held at Jarapata field in Palasbari on Tuesday by indigenous groups opposing the proposed Barduar Bagan Satellite Township. Organized by the Barduar Bagan Land Pattani Demand Committee, the protest condemned forced displacement, ecological damage, and alleged land grabs by corporations. Protesters demanded land rights, protection of tribal land, and cancellation of the project. The event saw participation from multiple indigenous communities and resolved to intensify the movement.
