Massive Excise Raid in Guwahati Seizes 3,400 kg Fermented Wash

The Kamrup Metro Excise Department conducted a large-scale raid on Monday under Superintendent Debajit Nath. Teams from all circle offices targeted illegal distilleries in Maligaon, Bhootnath, and Athgaon. Led by Excise Inspector Gobardhan Deka, the Jalukbari Circle seized 3,400 kg of fermented wash, 320 litres of illicit liquor, and 10 distillation apparatuses. One person was arrested, while others managed to escape.
