Massive Turnout Marks Day Two of BJP’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra in Assam

The second day of the BJP’s “Jan Ashirwad Yatra,” led by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, saw large public participation across several constituencies. Starting from Jagiroad, the yatra passed through Morigaon, Raha, Nagaon and Barhampur, with BJP state president Dilip Saikia joining the campaign.

Addressing supporters, Sarma said people had pledged to bring the BJP-led alliance back to power and promised accelerated development over the next five years. Large crowds welcomed the procession with traditional rituals, while bulldozers accompanying the yatra symbolised the government’s stance against illegal encroachment.

The campaign highlighted the government’s development and welfare initiatives, including land rights, youth schemes, tea garden wage hikes and cultural projects such as the redevelopment of Batadrava Than.
