Mazbat Police Seize 105 kg of Suspected Cannabis Near Assam-Arunachal Border

Acting on a tip-off, Mazbat Police confiscated a consignment of 105 kg of suspected cannabis (ganja) from a jungle near Bogribari village along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border in Udalguri district. The contraband was transported to Mazbat Police Station for further investigation. While no arrests have been made yet, Mazbat police have launched an inquiry into the matter. Sources reveal that cannabis cultivation in thick forest areas along the Assam-Arunachal border is common, with Mazbat serving as a transit route for smuggling the substance to other parts of the state and country.
