Meghalaya Nears Completion of India-Bangladesh Border Fencing

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said the India-Bangladesh border fencing work in the state is close to completion, with only 40–45 km remaining. Around 400 km of fencing has already been completed.

He said about 10% of the work is pending due to local issues, and the government is working with residents to resolve concerns. Sangma also stated that Meghalaya has progressed faster in border fencing compared to several other border states.
